The Quartz material is engineered with the same quartz crystals found in quartzite, but a man-made process binds the crystal with resins, pigments, and other materials such as bits of glass. The mixture of 93% Quartz and 7% resin forms a non-porous, heat and scratch resistant material as well as providing consistency throughout all slabs produced in a batch.
